Join us for the exciting Full Moon Kayak Float in Arizona, a unique way to experience the beauty of Saguaro Lake under the full moon. Whether you are a seasoned paddler or new to kayaking, this event offers a fun and memorable night out on the water with glow sticks lighting the way. Reserve your spot today and be part of Arizona’s favorite nighttime kayaking adventure!
Step 1: Pick Up Your Party Pack
Meet us at our shop between 5 pm and 6 pm to collect your party pack. This is the perfect time to meet other participants in the kayak and paddleboard community. If you are bringing your own kayak or paddleboard, you can skip to Step 2 and head straight to the lake.
Your party pack includes:
- Single or double kayak, or paddleboard
- Universal car rack (no dents or scratches)
- Tie-down straps
- Life jackets
- Paddles
- Glow glasses
- Glow sticks
- Water bottle
Don’t forget to grab your Tonto Pass, required for parking at the lake. You can purchase it for $12 at the lake’s entrance vending machine or for $8 at the Bashas’ or Chevron gas station near our shop.
Disclaimer: This is a free event open to the public. Rentals and glow packages will also be available for purchase.
*If you are bringing your own kayak or paddleboard, you can simply skip to step 2 and meet at the most common launch point.

Step 2: Meet at the Lake and Party!
The Full Moon Kayak Float typically launches from the Butcher Jones entrance at Saguaro Lake. Paddle under the glow of the full moon, and enjoy the magical atmosphere as glow sticks reflect off the water. It’s an unforgettable experience for kayakers and paddleboarders alike. Step 3: Return Your Rentals
After enjoying the Full Moon Kayak Float, return your kayak or paddleboard between 9 pm and 10 pm. We’d love to hear about your adventure when you return to the shop! Please make sure to be on time, as late fees apply.
